I will add to Mr. Isenbergs post that there was also a detachment to Vietnam in 1970 from 133,
Det. Kangroo. Seabee Teams 13305, 13306 and 13307 also deployed to RVN.
The 69 deployment was certainly not the last time that Seabees of 133 went to Nam.

I joined MCB 133 in January, 1970 after basic training in November and December, 1969. My time in MCB 133 was the first deployment for the battalion not to Viet Nam after being recommissioned. Most of the battalion was sent to Guam but 'detachments' were sent to Japan and the southern Mariana's.

I left MCB 133 with a transfer to MCB 10 during the deployment to Guam. My goal was to remain on deployment to complete my time in the service without redeploying for a second time. I was fortunate that MCB 10 was short of EO2's.

A Co. 4th platoon at Camp Faulkner, DaNang 67'. Got early out May 68' Gulport, Miss. Was very inmature, a real j***, and "skated through" during my service to say the least during that time. I am very glad to have survived Viet Nam. Turned my life around because of being in the service and Nam experience. I am a better person now and very successful in my line of work. Think all 18-20 yr olds should serve at least two yrs. min. Although I probably do not deserve it, I still feel I did something right during my service. As with many Viet Nam vets I am very anti-war. It is a shame that a lot of good men and women gave so much for so little.

I have an awfull lot of respect for my fellow sailors in MCB 133 and as a matter of fact, all SeaBees, we build, we fight! You guys rocked!
